Beneath the makeup and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world

I've had a bit of a make-up shopping spree lately, had lot's of Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket and just waiting to be spent!

Here's a collection of my goodies :)

1) E.L.F Cream Eyeliner
I'm really, really impressed with this Cream Eyeliner. I've been tempted to buy either the MAC or Bobby Brown versions but thought while this was only £3.50 I'd give it a go and see how I get on. Normally I use Barry M number 11 eye shadow in Black as eyeliner, which is good but can get a bit messy and also doesn't stay on very long! I tried this out yesterday and it went on very easily and the brush you get with it works really well. I did have to put on a couple of coats to get it dark enough but the smooth, creamy texture makes it so easily to apply and gives it a good look :)

2) Max Factor Lasting Lip Tint
I'd seen these lip tints in a magazine and was very excited to give them a try. I normally use the Models Own lip tint which I love but it can get a bit messy as it is quite runny and well...after one too many glasses of wine isn't the easiest to apply! Whereas these are basically like a felt tip, so a lot easier to apply and easier to be more precise with making sure that all the lip is covered. Plus they don't bleed like the liquid tints have a habit of doing. The added bonus is one coat is effective enough, although depending on how dark you want the colour you do have to add more.

3) E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer
I've never tried a face primer before but I thought I'd give this one a try. It comes out a bit like a gel but goes on really nicely and smoothly when you've applied it. It does actually make your skin feel nice and soft and I tried it yesterday and my make up stayed on perfectly :) It also added a bit of a glow too!

4) No7 Stay Perfect Foundation
Normally I tend to find one foundation and stick with it. At the moment it's Benefit You Rebel Tinted Moisturiser in the day and Benefit Non Fiction Foundation for if I'm going out at night. Unfortunately I'm running out of both and as much as I love them they are a little bit expensive. So I went into Boots and with the help of a lovely lady found my perfect shade and perfect foundation from No7. Now I don't know about anybody else but I always thought of No7 as a bit of an older persons make up range, but I was really wrong! As the woman so kindly pointed out I have awfully pale skin (ha, thanks for the reminder!) so she recommended I get it in Alabaster and when we tried it on my jaw line it suited me perfectly! I have to say I love this foundation it's so nice to apply and you only need to use a small amount to get good, even coverage, so it will last for ages!

5) E.L.F Eyebrow kit
I admit I have unruly eyebrows, though I guess that's not helped by the fact I'm way too lazy to bother plucking them properly. Thank god for fringes that hide them ;) But I like this product, the gel which you apply first fills in any gaps and makes eyebrows stand out a bit more and look more defined and the powder you place over the top keeps them in place. No more messy eyebrows for me, yay!

6) E.L.F 100 Eyeshadows
I've realised I NEVER wear eyeshadow and thought maybe it was time I give it more of a chance. I am quite rubbish at choosing the right colours and applying them. But this product was ridiculously cheap (I can't seem to find it on the site anymore!!) so is good to mess around with and try out different looks :)

7) No7 Skin Illuminator
For a highlighter I normally use Benefit High Beam but as the No7 products were on 3 for 2 I decided to try this one. It gives a really nice glow although the only problem I find is the brush attached that you use to apply it. It's quite a big brush and found that it is easier to apply with your fingers. Apart from that I think I've found a new replacement for High Beam :)

8) E.L.F High Definition Face Powder
Up until now I've been using sample pots of face powder from LilyLolo but I am slowly running out. When I saw this on the E.L.F website I thought it was worth a try. It's a fine white powder that goes on really nicely. It doesn't give you the over-powdery look some can give you. It helps to set make-up and keep it in place. It also gives you a nice flawless finish which is always good :) I love the cute little powder puff you get to apply it too!

9) No7 Dual Protection Tinted Moisturiser
As I mentioned before I normally use Benefit You Rebel Tinted Moisturiser and I like it but sometimes find it doesn't give you a great even coverage and can go a bit dry in patches. So this was the third part of my 3 for 2. It's a nice creamy mixture that actually goes on lightly but give amazing coverage, just enough for a natural day look. It actually is very moisturising too :) By the end of the day it looked exactly like it did when I applied it so has lastability. Plus, like the Stay Perfect Foundation you only need to use a small amount!

Phew, what a long post! Hope you've all enjoyed my little reviews :)
